First up… Reindeers. Super cute.

But wait, I think they need red noses.

No, still not right.

Okay, that's better. One Rudolph and Santa's eight tiny reindeer. (Okay, six.)
Now, how about some Santa Pops!

And, of course, things wouldn't be complete without these…

Hope you like them. And, of course they are red velvet cake inside for Christmas.
Here's what I used to decorate:
Reindeer
Heads: Chocolate Candy Melts
Noses: Red lemon heads, red m&ms, or anything red and round will work, brown m&ms
Eyes: Mini Confetti Sprinkles
Expressions: Americolor Edible Ink Pens (Black)
Paper Lollipop Sticks
Make the reindeers: Make regular cake pops using the chocolate candy melts. You can adhere the antlers while the reindeer pops are still wet or wait until they are dry and then apply a small dab of chocolate to the head to glue the antlers on. Once dry, you can also add the eyes and noses by gluing. Then using the edible ink pen, draw the mouths and dot your eyes.
Santa Hats
Hats: Red Candy Melts
Fur: white sugar crystal sprinkles
Balls: white coated expresso beans, gumballs, yogurt covered peanuts will work
Paper Lollipop Sticks
Make the Hats: Make a cone shape instead of a ball. Put in the freezer until firm. Then, holding the top part of the hat, dip the bottoms in white candy melts, insert the lollipop stick and set in a styrofoam block to dry. Once dry, dip the tops in red candy melts so that it meets where the white ends. Gently place the balls to the top of the hat while still wet. Let them dry. Then, use a toothpick to generously dab more white candy melts all around the bottom of the hat. While still wet, sprinkle the sugar crystals on.
Christmas Trees
Trees: Green Candy Melts
Stars: Jumbo Star Sprinkles
Ornaments: Rainbow chip sprinkles
Paper Lollipop Sticks
Decorate the trees: Make a cone shape instead of a ball and insert the lollipop sticks as usual. Place in the freezer until firm. Dip the entire tree in green candy melts. While still wet, you can use a toothpick to create the branches. When the trees are dry, you can also use toothpicks to apply a drop of green melted candy to the tree in the places you want the ornaments to be.
Now, if you haven't made the regular Cake Pops before, then read this Cake Pop How-to for help.
Happy Holidays!

Those reindeers are SO cute! Nice work :)
I'm SOOO excited about these. I want to attempt to make all of them. And hopefully they'll come out better than my turkeys :)
Sues
I love the Christmas Trees!!! The reindeer are my favorite! You are so creative! Hope you had fun with your niece! I aspire to be you someday!!!!!! You rock my cupcake world :)
I LOVE THEM! THese are absolutely amazing bakerella!
I tried my hand at the reindeer.. http://www.duhlicious.com/2008/11/run-run-rudolph.html
.. but yours are 200% better.
Happy Holidays.

You keep doing it! I get used to round pops, now you can do tree's, AND make them even look like tree's?!! You are like a good bottle of wine Bakerella... you just keep getting better and better!
Ah, I love Rudolph <3
These are wonderful, can't wait to try them once I'm done exams! The Christmas trees look brilliant, so real =]
i was trying to think of some holiday pops and came up with a snowman! I'd like to see a snowman pop professionally made by you :}
Oh my word! I am going to make ALL of these!
Did you say you needed some qualified taste-testers??? 'Cause I'd be happy to help!
You pops just get better and better! The christmas trees are my favourite.
So freaking cute! I just want to eat those Christmas trees!!!
The christmas trees are amazing. And the santa hats are so delicate!
Adorable!!! I am loving how graphic the santa hats are. And I am a sucker for anything Christmas Tree related. I didn't even think about doing cone shapes! Brilliant!
I know you are a busy lady, but I have a question. I have a version of the pops I was planning to make this year. Have you ever seen sprinkles in the shape of birds or of pears? If so where? (Do you see where I am going with this one?) I can probably pipe them, but it would be easier, if I could find some sprinkles or something to work with. Thanks so much!
I am wanting to make some cake balls for a cookie exchange party I am hosting....what do you think is the best combo? Cake and cream cheese or cake and frosting? Thanks!!! LOVE LOVE your reindeer! I was thinking about doing them, but I think they would be hard for a cookie exchange :(
What is a styrofoam block? I'd love to try to make all three of those! I made the Halloween cake balls...I used too much icing and ended up having to freeze them before rolling to make them easier to roll but I was actually pleased with my attempt! I'd love to try and make these ones, too--but I'll def. have to do a run through before trying to make them for my daughter for her school party, lol! Thank you for your recipes! I wish you could just make them for me! :P
Stunning!!!! Almost too good to eat.....Almost!
Unbelievably cute. Nice work. Maybe I'll even put them up as the background on my computer, they're so festive!
Bakerella! You are a genius. I love all of these designs. I'm tried making just basic cake pops last night and they came out great, but I think I made the balls too large. It's hard for me to tell what size yours are in the photos. They look big, but I'm guessing they are more bite size? Is that right? I'm going to try and make all of these. They are just gorgeous.
you are amazing!! my favorite are the santa hats!
oh my goodness these are all the cutest things I think I have ever seen. I think I need to try this recipe and make some for the kids holiday party. I know they would be a hit.
thanks for all of your inspiration and sharing with the world !
Ohhhh... what a great work!!
Thanks for all the inspiration!
(now I have to find time to TRY to make some myself)
these are really cute. well done. i had an idea for you. what about mini xmas puddings cake pops. could use fruit cake, dipped in choc, drizzled with white choc & topped with a red or green M&M? keep up the good ideas. i received my edible colour markers today. not sure what i'll do with them, but bought them after seeing your site!
So cute!!!!
You are truely amazing. I tried making your pops, but they didn't look as nearly as nice as yours. Tasted good. You are are the queen of cupcake pops.
Oh, wow! Those are my favorite Christmas things ever. From now on, when people ask "what's your favorite thing about Christmas?" I'll say "Bakerella's Christmas themed cakepops, of course!" :-)
The trees are very believable, undoubtedly my favorite.
oh sooooo cute!
Your creativity never ends. I'm loving the Santa Hats...really all of them are SO, so cute. Merry Christmas to You!
I was thinking you would make reindeer!! So cute. You seem to have so much fun! Grace & Peace to you! Dana
they're so cute and they look fun to make =)
Honestly, those could not get any cuter. You are amazing!
TOO CUTE!! :-)
I love them, and I can't wait to try and make them :)
Those are all so adorable!!
I loooooove the santa hats!
I love all your pops, but I don't think I've ever seen any cuter than those trees! I might have to make some! :)
OMG! They are ALL so darn cute! I LOVE them! You are so talented!
Um, I would like to BE you.
Every one else may imitate you ... YOU are the original! Love these! Thank you for sharing your creativity!!
Those are absolutely adorable!! Thank you for sharing such cute ideas!!
you are UNBELIEVABLE!
I would like to try to make Gingerbread cake balls, but can not seem to find a 9x13 mix, only an 8x8 mix. Do you think I could just make two of the 8x8 mixes and it would still work?
oh how fun:)...I'm loving your cup cake pops and so does my husband:).
I LOVE the christmas trees!
You are the very best Bakerella! You never cease to amaze me. You are such a gift to us all. Well when I try your projects it just makes me feel like I cna do anything. Thank you. I love them all so much. Happy Holidays.
Had you posted a picture of the reindeer before? I bought things to make reindeer cake pops over the weekend... and these look exactly how I pictured in my head doing them! I wish I had already done mine so I could compare my own vision to yours! So cute! Good work as always! I also have a vision for christmas tree ornament popsin my head too... Maybe I will do those as well!

So cute and lovely... I tried some Santa's hats too and they are really fun to make. And trees too!!
Congrats, fantastic job!
THUMP....
That was my jaw hitting the floor! These are too stinkin cute! I love them all! And the best part is that they're not too detailed that my 2 year old daughter can help. She wanted to help me with the halloween ones, but all she could do was stick the pumpkin stem. She'll love it!!
thanks for a Monday morning smile :)
These are the cutest things ever!! Especially love the trees - they're my favorite!
Wow, those Christmas trees look AMAZING! You are so talented both with your cake pops as well as with your photography and creativity. Nicely done.

I knew your reindeer would look better than mine! www.cupcakeinspiration.blogspot.com
I saw in the Williams-Sonoma catalog yesterday almost the identical snowmen cake pops that I made last week. I couldn't believe it!
LOVE the new designs!
I love, love, love these! I am making some today with my 5 children - can't wait!
My cake is in the oven right now. We are making them into Christmas ornaments with mini Reese's baking cups and broken pretzel pieces on top for the ornament hangers. Thanks so much for these (and all your other creative)ideas! I can't wait to make cake pops for all the holidays!
Those are so adorable!! I can't wait to make some.

I just found your blog through many friends and family blogs...YOU ARE AMAZING! Thank you for sharing!
Wow… lots of love. Thanks for all your super sweet comments. I was hoping you guys would like them as much as I did making them. I should have taken a poll on your favorites.
Okay, now for some answers:
PokemonKrystal - snowmen are next
Kendra - I haven't come across any like that. But, yes I can see your vision.
crazigirl80 - I've only done the cake with the cream cheese frosting and the oreos with the cream cheese. But both are YUMMY!
Amy - Here you go. Styrofoam"
http://www.amazon.com/s/qid=1228799917/ref=sr_nr_seeall_7?ie=UTF8&rs=&keywords=styrofoam&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Astyrofoam%2Ci%3Agarden
And, try adding a little less frosting next time. That will help.
suzinoz - They are about 1 1/2 inches. But I don't have any in front of me to measure.
Jamie - It's all about proportions. You can either make two cakes or just the one and use less frosting.
Anonymous - nope. this is the first time.
Setting the Mood - Thanks, and I do take my own pics.
cooker and crafter - Sure, its Estilo Script.
oh my - these are so cute! I need to try and make some!!
You are so stinkin' creative! Just love your ideas. Thank you for sharing!!
darling as always!!
oooh how cute, i specially loved the little santa´s hats
LOVE ALL THREE!! Thanks Bakerella! Ok im going to make all of these, but I also had an idea for santa balls. Thinking about the Santa belt around a red cake ball!
Hello, this is the first time I post a comment. I love all your creations and I can't wait to try to do them. I would really like to give them as tiny gifts, hope you don't mind. Thank you for all your wonderful ideas and advice. You are very talented!!! :)
I love the reindeer! They are my favorite! They are all great though! I will have to try some! Happy Christmas!

Those Christmas pops are great! I love looking at your blog...so many creative ideas!
Very cute hats!!
you continually impress me!! amazing! I love the Santa hats best.
Can you pass along any tips you migh have for me to help my edible ink as dark as yours. I made the reindeer pops today (I used wilton melting chocolate not almond bark)and I can't get it to write on the chocolate... I have the same pens you suggest on your instructions!
Thanks

I love the Christmas trees. :)
Bakerella, you know what I always want to see whenever you post these pictures of incredibly cute little treats? I wish for pictures of chomped-on treats with a bite missing! It's either my destructive nature or a desire to participate vicariously in the consumption of the goodies. Sometimes you do post such pictures, like with the happy face pops. :)
i loooove those christmas trees!
i just found your site today and i am in love! your stuff is AMAZING! i cant wait to read more.
Simply adorable!!
I'll take them all...too bad our kids schools don't allow homemade goodies anymore...
Super cute! Can't decide which ones I like the best, but the detailing on the trees ( the branches) is really well done.
Ho Ho Ho
THese are all adorable! You are so creative and a great photographer too! I just love your Blog! TFS
OMG those r ADORABLE! my favs r the xmas trees. the santa hats r soooooo cute 2! + the reindeers 2 ;) u must have lots of patience and free time to decorate and prepare all of those pops! =)

Thanks for sharing these!
P.S. My wish list for Santa includes a new camera. Think I will get it? :) Your pics really make me want one. Maybe I have been good enough. LOL LOL
i have a quick QUESTION ON STORAGE: if i were bringing the tree shaped ones to a party, in what container should i put them for the travel?
Absolutely adorable! I wish I had your love of and skill with detail. Great post :)
Amazing, as usual! I've got my mom hooked on your creations now and she will be making them with her students.
HOLY COW!!! These are so awesome. I will have to try the hat and the tree. When dipping these yummy treats they always fall off the sticks for me (mind you I have only done it once :)) Any tips on getting the balls not to fall off the stick? I would appreciate some advice warlatATyahooDOTcom THKS!
Hi Bakerella- I just made cupcake pops for the first time yesterday!!! (except no sticks, just put them in candy cups) THEY ARE AMAZING, and my new favorite dessert. Im not a huge fan of cake, but these things are to die for!! I took a tray of them into work, and everyone loved them! Thanks for all the cool ideas, keep up the creativity!!
Absolutely adorable! I am in love with the Christmas trees! Can't wait to give them a try. Thanks for all of the inspiration!
Just found your site from a friend who made your cake balls for a party. I love it you have such great ideas. I can't wait to start making my own cake pops.
Seasons Greetings!! They are all so adorable! They would be perfect for my neighbors!! Thanks!! I know you have TONS of fans out here but I do have something over at my blog for you if you get a chance to come by! Thanks for all the inspiration you give us! Hugs~Amy(NY)
these are all super cute... but I'm getting bored!!! its pops every week. try something new!
Wow, they are absolutely adorable. Each and every one of them. I wish I had half your talent.
Erin - thanks
Lisa Smiley - you're welcome.
suesueb - glad you like them
Anonymous - me too
kelly - sounds cute. santa bellys!
nenu - have fun
ellecupcake - thanks
Pinky - definitely
Julie - thank you
Dana - thanks
La Pixie - thanks
Anonymous - Leah, use the pens like a paint brush and gently paint on the pops. The ink flows out pretty nicely, but if you write too hard on the pop, it can get residue on the tip and make it difficult to work with.
Rachel Gray - you're right! I need to do that more.
sharyl - thanks
Lea - thanks and welcome to the site.
Wendy - thanks
Dawn@Embracing the Ordinary Life = yeah, that stinks!
Aimée - Ho Ho thanks!
Tammy - thanks for saying so.
kira - a fair amount of patience, but not as much free time as would like
Jovanna Vianney - I've done so many that their cuteness can't stop me from chomping.
The Cookie Girl - can't wait.
bellaluna221 - you should wrap them in treat bags and then you could just lay them down in a casserole dish for transportation. Then display them somehow when you get to the party.
bakergirlcreations - thanks
Jess- of, how fun.
Laura - make sure that the coating completely surrounds the chocolate so that it covers where the stick is inserted into the pop. Also, you may be inserting the stick too far in. It should go almost halfway in.
Dobrowolski Family - I'm glad you love them and that they were a success.
Cassi - you're welcome.
Meredith - You'll have fun I hope.
Amy - I'll stop by
Anonymous - well, actually it's more like once a month. I guess you're stopping by on the wrong days. (Did you see the cakes and cupcakes and brownies recently.) I'll go ahead and warn you … there will be more. And maybe even more often. Sorry, but I'm glad you think they're cute.
So cute!!! The reindeers are my favorite too! Children will love them!
How terribly cute these look!!
these are super cute...i was thinking of trying to make ones that look like peppermint candies. white with the red and then wrapped in cellophane...
could use a circle cutter?
anyways I love your site, keep creating and inspiring!
I made the Christmas trees and my kids loved helping. They turned out surprisingly good. Thanks for the inspiration!
The alphabet pretzels from World Market were on sale for just over $3 for a small tub, I had to take out all the E's, F's, T's, and Y's... cause my son 2 year old just loves to eat them after shouting the letter!! I still can't find a BLACK edible ink pen... found everyother gosh darn color.. but no black!
Oh my, these are FABULOUS!!! Wow. I have to make an attempt. Too cute:)
oh my goodness! SO adorable!
These are BEYOND cute!
You amaze me. Everytime I go to your blog it gets better and better. When you do a cake with fondant do you eat the fondant or throw it away? My kids don't seem to like the taste?
Those are all so adorable. I don't know which one I would make!
I just wanted to say that I absolutely adore your photographs. Not only do the pops look delicious, but your photographs and focus make them look even more amazing. They're just one of the reasons that I love your blog. :) And your font choice is impressive as well.
I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.

I've been waiting for this post!!! Thanks so much for the how-to's. It's so very much appreciated!
Where's the snowman?
Love it all! I've been looking for white nonpareils (tiny round sprinkles) for another cookie recipe. I can't seem to find them anywhere- any suggestions?
These are adorable as usual! I'm sharing these on my blog today =)
You have GOT to go into business baking!! Your shirts and aprons are adorable, but why not start a bakery of your own?!
Loved your appearance with Martha!

What fun! Merry Christmas!
I found your site via The Pioneer Woman website. You do awesome work! I am dying to make these for my son's 3rd grade class party. I know you said Snowmen are next and was wondering if you know when you will be posting them? I am thinking they might be a little easier than the reindeer. Thanks so much for your great site!
WOW ~ Those are amazing!!!!
I am going to blog about them.
You deserve the attention!!
Ohh I tried one of these pop cakes but this is toooo professional looking and so cute.. i will give it a shot anyway!!
Hi Angie
Been following your blog for a while now. Your Christmas themed cake pops inspired me! I bought all the ingredients yesterday and searched all over this tiny island called Singapore for lollipop sticks and whaddyakno, it was ALL sold out! I wonder if everyone's also having the same idea to make cake pops! I improvised with bamboo skewers instead.
I only found Wilton candy melt here and it works ok except I think the candy melt by Wilton is a bit too thick? Like I don't think it's liquidy/flowy kind. So when I tried making the smiley face one (becoz I thought that was by far the easiest!), it all turned out weird because I couldn't get a smooth/round coating like yours. Same goes for the christmas tree, I had to use my spoon to coat it as twirling it around didn't work. My guess is that, I didn't have a deep enough bowl to store the candy melt (I used this really big and wide bowl), so there was no real way of dipping. But even then, the candy melt was really thick. I ended up discarding the smiley batch away (which wasn't a lot anyway). I also notice Wilton melts don't really harden like candy? Because I stay in such a humid country, everything just melts away after a while :\
But the Christmas tree turned out a success! I Was smiling all the way when I made my first few! Here's the pic to share:

I made chocolate cake and vanilla frosting - a little bit too sweet :P
Love love love these!!
I just found your blog, and oh my! Such wonderful creations, and I'm getting hungry for cake!!!
You kill me with all of these cake pops! I love them all! I'm going to use one of these as my desktop wallpaper - bye bye sweet picture of my baby - here comes CAKE!!
Hi Bakerella - do you think that your cake balls can be shipped easily? Will they hold up? What about your oreo truffles?
I think it'd be great to send as a gift to family members...
I love the Christmas tree versions!
Another success Bakerella!
I mentioned you in my fetus-of-a-blog.
In fact, I FEATURED you!
http://phoebe-obsession.blogspot.com/
Okay... I have tried and tried. How on earth do you get your chocolate so neat? Every time I make them, the covering is clumpy. Do you thin yours out?
Hmm I wonder if I could make these with rum balls :) they are so cute!
Oh my gosh....these are too cute. My fave is the santa hat.
Inspired by your blog, today I made Santa cake pops...

Sunshinemom - thanks
suzanne - those sound cute
The Baldwins - You are welcome!
Julie Houghton - you can get them on amazon.
Princess ReRe - thanks
Pearl - glad you like them
Carolyn Jung - thanks
Jamie - I usually nibble on a little bit of it, but mostly I just go for the buttercream underneath.
Shari@Whisk: a food blog - just do them all
Maple - thanks so much. I appreciate you saying so.
Sabryna - thanks
Dani - you're welcome
Bruce and Monette - probably in January
Anonymous - amazon should have some.
stephanie - thanks
Anonymous - you're sweet. thanks for saying so.
Atticelf - Merry Christmas to you too
SHILORAVINN - Probably not until January.
Dawn - Awesome
Room design studio - you can do it.
Snappybug Sheila - I'll check out your pics. You can try to thin the chocolate out a little next time with a few drops of vegetable oil. And if they don't harden, just stick them in the fridge. Some people even like them cold.
Melissa - thanks
Danielle - me too
Amylouwho - funny!
Stretchad - The cake balls ship fine. I package them carefully with peanuts and bubble wrap. The oreos should do fine, too, but you have the issue of the cream cheese. I don't think you want that to get to room temp. But, you could package them with freezer packs and overnight.
Phoebe - Wow, thanks!
Melissa - sometimes I do. I use the paramount crystals. But, you can also use a few drops of vegetable oil.
Ashley's Cakes and More! - Yep, i think so.
Tasha - thanks
Shannon - Awesome!
Bakerella -
I tried making these, but my cake part kept breaking - just falling off the stick when I tried to put on the chocolate.
Did I use too much icing or something?
I ended up having to completely freeze them to get them to work.
I managed to come up with a mini-solution, by making oreo truffle reindeer pops. So yummy, but a little flat headed. I'm sure the 5-year-olds won't mind, but I'd like to try again with cake. Any suggestions?
You have amazing creativity! How do you come up with all this stuff? I think the santa hats or the Christmas trees are my fave. They are all so cute. Do you have a bakery or something - who eats all of the things you make?
Shannon
Love them!! My sister made the Santa hats and reindeer last weekend. And while they are nowhere near as perfect as yours, they were very cute. Pictures on my blog soon.
I tried the Santa hats with a room full of kids. THey loved it and they turned out adorable! Check out my blog for pics.
www.kismet.blogs.com
Thanks so much for the idea. I linked it all back to you!
~K!
Kahne - I would need to know more to help.
What kind of chocolate were you using.
How were you coating/dipping them.
Did you use an entire can of frosting?
Did you get them firm (freeze them for a few minutes before you dipped them the first time?)
Shannon - no bakery. and my friends and family ususally get the goods.
Libby - That's great. I'm sure they were cute.
Kismet - They are so cute. Hope they had lots of fun.
I made the reindeer and they were VERY well received! Thank you so much! I am going to try to make the trees tonight.
I have a bit of a technical question. After forming the cakeballs and sticking em, I put them in the freezer to firm up. When I coated them with the chocolate (Wilton's CandyMelts), some of the reindeer cracked as they dried. I assume it's because of the cold cakeballs combining with the hot chocolate. I tried using cakeballs that were room temp but they fell off into the chocolate. Do you have any suggestions?
I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
Susan
http://www.car-insurance-choices.com
RoSco - I think your suspcicion may be right. I would just leave them in the freezer for a few minutes. And, the chocolate doesn't have to be hot. It will stay in a melted form for a good amount of time to work with it. Also, consider trying some other brands. Many have commented that they have trouble with the Wilton.
Susan - thanks!
Made the Christmas trees for the teachers at my kids school and they thought they were adorable. I didn't make them into pops, I put a stick in and dipped them but then removed the stick and dried them without it. I didn't have anything to put the sticks in, so made them just shaped cake balls! :) Thanks for all your inspiration.
I have had the same problem as another commenter. My cake pops cracked and then they started leaking. It was kind of a cool effect for the halloween cake pops...red velvet cake oozing out, but not so cute for reindeer. I saw your response about trying different melts (other than Wilton). What kind do you use?
those are all so cute but my favorite would be the trees!
baesedays - You gotta do what works. Sticks or not, I'm sure they were cute.
Toni - I use Mercken's or candymaker Make n mold.
Also, try to balance the chocolate from being too hot and the balls from being too cold.
Jaime - Glad you like them!
Thanks so much we had a great time making Rudolph cake pops!

I made the trees for a staff party. I added white edible glitter... it looked just like fresh snow!
JessWphotography - And they are very cute, too!
Janine - Great idea!
Thank you for sharing your talents on the World Wide Web! I ran across your site while looking for something to make for a pirate themed party. The cake balls to me screamed CANON BALLS! So with a little decorative help from some modelling clay and your wonderful website, I ended up with this:

Thank you, happy baking, and happy new year!
First, the christmas themed pops are ADORABLE!
Second, I want to make pig pops! Any suggestions on what to use to make these are cute as possible? How should I do the ears?? Any help or advice appreciated! LOVE your work!
Dawn - thanks! you did an awesome job!
rachel - take a look at the pic in the bottom of this post. you can use pink candy melts and pink coated sunflower seeds to tranform the cow to a pig.
ok so I made these and it was a disaster. Every time they started to get room temp. they wanted to fall apart. ahhh. how do you do it?
Don't let them get room temp because they will fall off the stick when you dip them. Just take a couple out of the freezer at a time to dip. Or if you take them all out, stick them back in when you start to see they are getting too soft to dip.
