Pool Party Pops

Pool Party Cupcake Pops

After celebrating the first day of summer at the beach, I thought today would be cool at the pool. Here are a few cupcake pops to mark day two of summer. Hope you enjoy them in all their cuteness.

Cupcake Pops

I used blue candy melts for the coating, candy writers for the bathing suits,
lifesaver gummies for the inner tubes and blue sugar crystals to accent the water.

Getting ready to go swimming

Almost too cute to bear.

How to make Cupcake Pops.

Super cute! I love the color...

so freaking cute as always! Did you use the sprite cake for the pops on this one or a teddy graham mix or just a yellow cake mix?

Italianmommy said...

I cannot wait to make these pops for my daughter's pool party. They are the cutest and most perfect little delectables that I have ever seen. Thanks so much, and keep up the good work!

Bakerella said...

anonymous - It was a regular yellow cake mix this time. (Butter flavor)

cony & megan - thanks

adrienne - see anonymous. I usually just use a mix straight up for these.

italianmommy - hope they are a hit. You may want to keep them indoors until ready to serve. Just to make sure the heat doesn't affect their ability to stay on the sticks.

Those are so cute! Shoulda known you'd come up with a way to do the swimming teddy grahams on cupcake pops! They're adorable.

These are so cute! I have made your cupcake bites for my daughter's school and now she wants them for her Princess Ballerina birthday party.

Can I make them in advance? How long will they keep in the freezer? And since, I'm being a pest-should I wait to dip the chocolate till the day of?

I've tried to google answers, but I thought I'd try going straight to the source. Thanks for your wonderful inspiration

So cute! It would be so much fun "dressing" the bears ... and I was so caught up in the cuteness I will forgive your pun... :P

TOTALLY adorable! You just gave me the idea for our August EFY!! We spend a lot of time outside on that weekend AND the ladies get to use the pool!

How darling are these! Oh my goodness :)

I'm not sure if you know this already or not, but the store that your candy writers come from is located in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and they sell the candy writers for a lower price on their website.

I just LOVE these and your whole site. Thank you for sharing your amazing talents!

Question..I live in a small town and can't find the little daisy cutter to make the shape. Is there anything else you can recommend that I can use in it's place?

Ok, these are too cute... we must be on the same wave link! I made beach themed cup cakes for my son's end of the school year party, just like these... they were soooo fun!

I wanted some way to incorporate the cake pops... wish I had thought of this... and using the bears and gummies is brilliant! Did you know that Air Head candy makes a long striped sugared sour candy that is perfect for "beach blankets" to go under the umbrellas? Oh well, There is always next year!

BTW, thanks for the e-mail suggestion about coloring the candy melts... food coloring gel, worked out just fine. And the brownie beach balls were great!

Just wondering. Is there an end to your imagination? I mean, do you reach a point when you think "Ok, that's it"?

Smallest, cutest swimmers I've ever seen. Keep it up, lady.

Deshona said...

Oh how fun!!! Cant wait to make these. My girls are super excited.

Lyn said...

Love them! Can you freeze them? How long do they last in the freezer? Fridge? Please advise us!

chinamomxtwo said...

just wondering why the life saver gummies look sugared? did you roll them in sugar before using them? I have some but they are 'plain' gummies......thanks!
LOVE these! tho I think the cupcakes are my fave :)

Bakerella said...

Stephanie - I couldn't resist

Renee Graham - You can make the entire things in advance. They will last for several days if kept in an airtight container. If you do something like these though, the bears may start to get soft so I would stick with the regular pops with sprinkles and you should be fine.

Katie - thanks!

HoneyB - Hope they are a hit!

Ashley - yeah, a lot of places sell these. I actually get them at a cake supply retail store. But amazon is a good general place for people who don't want to set up multiple accounts to purchase from. They sell just about everything.

Tanya - Wilton makes a crinkle cutter. You can see it in this post:

morgana - Thanks! I thought you might like these.

Rosanne - glad you like them

landa - thanks!

cookemila - thank you cooke!

Miss Theresa - super-duper thanks!

Angela - glad the coloring worked out. And I guess there's a few of us with beach bears on the mind. I just saw some others yesterday on flickr that were really cute!

Ευθυμία Δεσποτάκη I'm so glad you like them.

Deshona - Good luck.

Lyn - I haven't tried freezing them, but they last for several days in an airtight container.

chinamomxtwo - nope, they actually came that way. Pre-sugared.

Oh my gosh, these are the cutest ever!!! I wish one of my kids had a summer birthday so I could make them!! I made the regular cupcake pops for both of my kids for a year-end treat at school. My daughter picked pink chocolate, my son yellow. They were a BIG hit in both classes!! Now my daughter wants them for her next birthday treat for school (in January). I may make these pool ones for the year-end treat next year. In May it's already pool weather in southern GA!!

Thanks for all the great recipes! I have the sprite cake baking as I "speak"!!
